Aikido
So Erin and I went off to watch the Aikido.
They start with Swords and moved into some defensive moves. Pretty neat, there were three black belts there, so we got to see what the advanced stuff looks like as well. Swords! so much fun, though how often I'll have access to a nice katana remains to be seen, maybe when Im visiting my highschool friends, they own..um...5 sowrds? Excessive to be sure, but useful should I learn how to use one.
They were teaching them how to lope off your opponents arm so he cant slice your leg afterwards...scary...but fun.
Classes are held 4 times a week, of which I can go to all of them, which would be freaking awesome. This means I will be on Campus a lot, which makes me think I should get a parking pass for the U.
That being said, I wonder if you can actually get a pass if you arn't actually going to school. If I am however, this will eliminate the funds I have for Kinsmen, which means I will start working out at Carol's gym with her brother (also mike). I figure the 4 times a week aikido should more than make up for the fact I won't be able to do declines or standing rows.
If I do get a parking pass at the U, I think I'll also get a bus pass for work, since the LRT goes Right By my work, but I dont know yet. Or I may just bus to and from work and to and from aikido. Who knows.
the Logistics of my planning have yet to be completely ironed out. i never was one for planning.
I must go...um...work...or something.

That sounds like fun. I've always wanted to learn a martial art but just never found the time to do it. Have fun playing with swords!
